In the Australian study, during 20 years are estimated cardiovascular mortality and incidence of coronary heart disease (CHD) in individuals with altered thyroid status. Attended by 2,108 participants (average age 50 years, 17 to 89 years) included in the survey the Busselton Health Study, which in 1981 were collected blood samples frozen at -70ºS and in 2001 studied at the content of TSH T4, antibodies to thyroglobulin and thyroid peroxidase.
